Charlotte is
ecstatic. Darcy and Elizabeth are getting married. I am sad to inform
you that I do not share my wife's sentiments. Rather I am
disappointed in Darcy. He even paid for Wickham and Lydia in order
gain the trust and respect of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet. Charlotte and I
went to Longbourn to congratulate the couple. All day I had to feign
happiness for them. Lady Catherine is equally displeased as I. She
had planned for years for her daughter to marry Darcy. I believe she
would be a much better partner for a respectable man like Darcy.
